Become an ExcelleShare Volunteer
Give back to your community by helping nonprofits build their capacity to provide needed community services. Share the knowledge and skills you have developed in your life experience to benefit the Capital Region.
Projects vary by the needs expressed by local non-profit agencies, and could include:
- Assist agencies develop new programs and / or organizational approaches;
- Assist with community outreach and marketing of services;
- Manage a project to achieve an important service or organizational goal;
- Mentor non-profit agency staff to transfer your knowledge to benefit of their agency;
- Assist agencies with strategic planning and organizational development;
- Assist organizations in developing and supporting volunteer roles; and
- Provide program support in areas such as budgeting, human resources, communications, and technology.
ExcelleShare volunteer requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- Desire to share your knowledge with others
- Interest in working on a team with other leadership volunteers
- Previous life and / or employment experience in such areas as marketing and communications, planning, human resources, program analysis and evaluation, budgeting and financial management, and / or information technology
- Enthusiasm for helping non-profits achieve their goals
