“Fighting Childhood Obesity,” published in the January AARP Bulletin, features the OASIS-sponsored program Active Generations and features three volunteers from the Albany area. Active Generations is an intergenerational afterschool program designed to curb obesity by teaching children in third through fifth grades about healthy nutrition and exercise.
